Dispute Resolution Policy

Last updated: April 17, 2026

This Dispute Resolution Policy (“Policy”) governs how disputes arising from Head-to-Head (H2H) Challenges on the Batiwi platform are handled. The purpose is to provide fairness, transparency, and trust in every contest between players.

1. Scope of the Policy

This Policy applies only to Head-to-Head (H2H) Challenges conducted on Batiwi. It does not cover disputes relating to other services such as Prediction Markets or Fantasy Premier League (FPL).

2. Grounds for Dispute

A dispute may be raised where a participant reasonably believes that:

  • The Challenge was settled incorrectly.
  • The recorded result does not match the official or verifiable outcome.
  • A technical error materially affected the Challenge.
  • The opponent engaged in fraudulent, dishonest, or abusive behavior.

Disputes based on personal opinion, dissatisfaction, or interpretations outside the Challenge's rules will not be entertained.

3. Filing a Dispute

To initiate a dispute, players must meet the following requirements:

  • Timeframe: All disputes must be raised within 24 hours of the contested outcome.
  • Channel: Disputes must be submitted via the designated dispute channel on Batiwi.
  • Evidence: Players must provide verifiable proof (e.g., screenshots, video evidence, or official records).
  • Abuse: Filing repeated false or bad-faith disputes may result in warnings, strikes, or suspension.

4. Resolution Process

The following steps outline how disputes are reviewed and resolved:

  • The Dispute Administrator reviews the Challenge title, description, and applicable rules.
  • Evidence is checked against official or verifiable data.
  • If cheating or misconduct is suspected, the opponent's account may be flagged and investigated.
  • Users are updated throughout the process.

Timelines for resolution:

  • Timeframe: All disputes must be raised within 24 hours of the contested outcome.
  • Standard cases: Resolved within 24–48 hours.
  • Complex cases (e.g., suspected fraud): May take longer, with users kept informed.

5. Possible Outcomes

  • Challenge Upheld: Original settlement stands.
  • Correction Issued: Outcome is reversed and corrected.
  • Refund Processed: Both players refunded if fairness cannot be guaranteed.
  • Forfeiture: If a participant refuses to play or abandons the Challenge, the opponent is awarded the win.
  • Tie: Only valid if both parties mutually agree.
  • Account Action: Fraudulent or abusive accounts may be restricted, suspended, or permanently banned.

6. Additional Rules

6.1. Cautionary Warnings and Strikes

Administrators may issue warnings or strikes for dishonesty, falsified evidence, or abusive behavior. Accumulating two strikes results in suspension. Strikes may be removed at the Administrator's discretion.

6.2. Challenge Commitment

Once a Head-to-Head Challenge is created and accepted, participants cannot withdraw due to reluctance or a change of preference. The Challenge title, description, and chatroom serve as binding records.

6.3. Terms in Absence of Agreement

If a participant joins a Challenge without prior agreement, the creator may set terms within the dispute channel, subject to Administrator oversight.

6.4. Timeframe for Participation

If one party fails to engage in the dispute within 24 hours of initiation (after demonstrable contact attempts), the active party will be awarded the win.

7. Expected User Conduct

  • Communicate respectfully; abusive or hateful language may result in penalties or suspension.
  • Submit all relevant proof promptly.
  • Respect the final ruling. Decisions made by Dispute Administrators are binding and final.

8. Updates to the Policy

Batiwi may amend this Policy at any time. Updates take effect once posted. Continued use of the Head-to-Head Challenge product constitutes acceptance of any revisions.
